The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Helens Lions (St. Helens, OR) and the host Rainier Columbians (Rainier, OR), observed St. Helens's basketball team overwhelm Rainier by a score of 61-19.

The Lions (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sweet Home (Sweet Home, OR). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 2-7 record.

In their next game, the Columbians battle the Banks Braves (Banks, OR) in a 3A Coastal Range challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Rainier will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 60-57 non-league win over Henley (Klamath Falls, OR).
