Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Mission Vista (Oceanside, CA) and the host Escondido Cougars (Escondido, CA), saw Mission Vista's soccer squad knock off Escondido by a count of 5-2.
The (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Carmel (San Diego, CA). The Sundevils enter the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Mt. Carmel Westview (San Diego, CA), 1-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cougars battle the Ramona Bulldogs (Ramona, CA) in a battle, on Tuesday, January 14. Escondido will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 7-0 league loss to Scripps Ranch (San Diego, CA).
