North Carolina High School Basketball - North Wilkes victorious over Alexander Central

In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting North Wilkes Vikings basketball team scored a good 46-35 triumph over the Alexander Central Cougars.

The Vikings (12-1) will now prepare for their contest against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Blackhawks go into the 2A Foothills contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, West Wilkes topped Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC), 61-22, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 8. Alexander Central will attempt to better on its 9-4 season record.
