The South Salem Saxons basketball team scored 64 points and limited the visiting Bend Lava Bears to 22 in the Saxons non-league triumph on Friday.

The Saxons now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Oregon City for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. South Salem will play a Pioneers team coming off a 53-43 non-league loss to Redmond (Redmond, OR). The Pioneers record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Bend falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Lava bears travel to Mazama (Klamath Falls, OR) to play the Vikings in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 0-10. Mazama lost 51-25 in their recent non-league game against Lakeview (Lakeview, OR)
