Nebraska High School Basketball - Bertrand nips Wauneta-Palisade

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Bertrand Vikings basketball team scored a close 51-49 triumph over the Wauneta-Palisade Broncos.

The Vikings (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Wilcox-Hildreth (Wilcox, NE). The Falcons go into the D2 District 6 contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Wilcox-Hildreth nipped Doniphan-Trumbull (Doniphan, NE), 43-20, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Broncos battle the Cheylin Cougars (Bird City, KS) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Wauneta-Palisade will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 5-1 record after their 66-28 league win over Logan/Palco (Logan, KS).
