North Carolina High School Basketball - Cox Mill falls to South Point

January 3, 2025: Concord, NC 28027

The Cox Mill Chargers basketball squad (Concord, NC), was outscored 55-44 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC)

With the victory, South Point advances its record to 9-2 on the year. The Red Raiders travel to Forestview (Gastonia, NC) to meet the Jaguars in a 3A Big South battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Jaguars enter the battle with a record of 6-6. Forestview lost 45-28 in their recent non-league battle against T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC)

The Chargers now own a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host A.L. Brown for a 4A Greater Metro battle on Tuesday, January 7. Cox Mill will meet a Wonders squad coming off a 46-21 league loss to Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Wonders record now stands at 4-7.
