Indiana High School Basketball - La Porte can't hold off East Chicago Central

East Chicago Central Cardinals (East Chicago, IN) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting La Porte Slicers (La Porte, IN), 36-31 in a non-league match.

With the victory, East Chicago Central advances its record to 5-9 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Gary West Side (Gary, IN) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 2-7. Gary West Side won 29-28 in their recent non-league challenge against River Forest (Hobart, IN)

In their next game, the Slicers encounter the Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) in a Duneland challenge, on Saturday, January 11. La Porte will attempt to improve on its 0-14 season record.
