The Palmyra Panthers basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Elsberry Indians to 47 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now possess a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Kirksville for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. Palmyra will play a Tigers team coming off a 52-44 non-league loss to Canton (Canton, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Elsberry falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Louisiana (Louisiana, MO) to play the Bulldogs in a Eastern Missouri game on Monday, January 6. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 3-3. Louisiana won 44-31 in their recent non-league game against Knox County (Edina, MO)
