The Straughn Tigers nipped the visiting Highland Home Flying Squadron basketball squad by a final score of 37-33 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Tigers face the Bullock County Hornets (Union Springs, AL) in a 4A Area 4 outing, on Monday, January 6. Straughn will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Hornets enter the outing with a 2-8 record after their 44-27 league win over Pike County (Brundidge, AL).
