The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Jefferson Democrats (Portland, OR) and the visiting Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns (Vista, CA), observed Jefferson's basketball team knock off Rancho Buena Vista by a score of 51-43.
The Democrats (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Alameda (Alameda, CA). The Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Alameda prevailed over La Salle (Milwaukie, OR), 53-47, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Longhorns encounter the California Grizzlies (San Ramon, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4.
