The Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) basketball edged the visiting Lennox Orioles (Lennox, SD), 39-33 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Titans now possess a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Sanborn Central/Woonsocket for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will play a Rebels team coming off a 44-43 non-league loss to Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD). The Rebels record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Lennox falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Orioles travel to Groton (Groton, SD) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 11. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-1.
