In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Mason City Mohawks basketball team scored a good 47-37 triumph over the Ottumwa Bulldogs.

The Mohawks (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Humboldt (Humboldt, IA). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Humboldt topped Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA), 51-49, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Roosevelt Roughriders (Des Moines, IA) in a Central Iowa Metro - Metro contest, on Saturday, January 4. Ottumwa will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record.
