In Friday's league contest, the visiting Valley Christian Panthers basketball team scored a good 44-36 triumph over the Northport Mustangs.
The Panthers (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Mary Walker (Springdale, WA). The Chargers go into the 1B Northeast contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Mary Walker was topped by Republic (Republic, WA), 45-24, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats (Creston, WA) in a 1B Northeast contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Northport will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 4-3 record after their 32-25 non-league win over Manson (Manson, WA).
