In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Maple Grove Crimson ice hockey team scored a close 4-0 triumph over the Shakopee Sabers.

The Crimson (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Andover (Andover, MN). The Huskies come into the Northwest Suburban contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Andover got by Stillwater (Stillwater, MN), 3-0, in a non-league outing.

With the defeat, Shakopee moves to 7-6 on the season. The Sabers travel to Farmington (Farmington, MN) to encounter the Tigers in a Missota outing on Saturday, January 4. The Tigers go into the outing with a record of 8-5. Farmington lost 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Minnetonka (Minnetonka, MN)
