The Gila Ridge Hawks soccer squad scored 10 points and held the host Deer Valley Skyhawks to 2 in the Hawks non-league victory on Friday.
The Hawks now hold a 9-1 record. They play next when they travel to Shadow Ridge for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. Gila Ridge will play a Stallions squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ). The Stallions record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Deer Valley moves to 4-3 on the year. The Skyhawks travel to Verrado (Buckeye, AZ) to play the Vipers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. The Vipers go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Verrado lost 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ)
