The West Park Panthers soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Monterey Trail Mustangs to 0 in the Panthers non-league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now hold a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Grant for a Metropolitan Conference bout on Tuesday, January 7. West Park will play a Pacers squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Rio Linda (Rio Linda, CA). The Pacers record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Monterey Trail moves to 7-4 on the year. The Mustangs host Franklin (Elk Grove, CA) to play the Wildcats in a Delta League bout on Wednesday, January 8. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Franklin won 5-1 in their recent non-league bout against Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA)
