The Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) basketball were winner over the visiting North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC), 48-40 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they host John Paul II Catholic for a bout on Tuesday, January 7.

With the loss, North Duplin falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Princeton (Princeton, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, January 6. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Princeton lost 40-32 in their recent non-league bout against Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC)
