The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Whiteville Wolfpack (Whiteville, NC) and the visiting West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC), observed Whiteville's basketball team overcome West Columbus by a margin of 45-29.

The Wolfpack (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC). The Gators come into the non-league challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, East Columbus dropped by South Columbus (Tabor City, NC), 54-43, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. West Columbus will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Stallions come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 54-43 non-league win over East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC).
