Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Hoover Tornados (Glendale, CA) and the visiting El Rancho Dons (Pico Rivera, CA), saw Hoover's soccer squad knock off El Rancho by a count of 3-1.

The Tornados (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Muir (Pasadena, CA). The Mustangs enter the Pacific battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, Muir tipped Firebaugh (Lynwood, CA), 7-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Dons confront the La Serna Lancers (Whittier, CA) in a Del Rio battle, on Tuesday, January 7. El Rancho will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Lancers enter the battle with a 2-10 record after their 2-0 non-league win over St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA).
