Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Hernando moves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Oxford (Oxford, MS) to meet the Chargers in a 7A Region 1 test on Thursday, January 9. The Chargers come into the test with a record of 11-3.
The Golden Wave now sport a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they host Amory for a 1A Region 1 test on Saturday, January 4.
