Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the La Serna Lancers (Whittier, CA) and the host St. Paul Swordsmen (Santa Fe Springs, CA), saw La Serna's soccer squad knock off St. Paul by a count of 2-0.

The Lancers (2-10) will now prepare for their battle against El Rancho (Pico Rivera, CA). The Dons enter the Del Rio battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, El Rancho by Hoover (Glendale, CA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Swordsmen battle the Verbum Dei Jesuit Eagles (Los Angeles, CA) in a Camino Real battle, on Monday, January 6. St. Paul will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 3-8 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Compton Early College (Compton, CA).
