South Spartans (Torrance, CA) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting San Pedro Pirates (San Pedro, CA), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, South advances its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, CA) to clash with the Sea Hawks in a Bay test on Tuesday, January 7. The Sea Hawks come into the test with a record of 7-2. Redondo Union won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Menlo School (Atherton, CA)

The Pirates now have a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they host Banning for a Marine test on Wednesday, January 8. San Pedro will clash with a Pilots team coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Venice (Los Angeles, CA). The Pilots record now stands at 2-3.
