Wythe Bulldogs (Richmond, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Armstrong Wildcats (Richmond, VA), 54-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wythe upgrades its record to 2-13 on the season. The Bulldogs host Manchester (Midlothian, VA) to clash with the Lancers in a Dominion bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 17-1. Manchester won 54-45 in their recent league bout against Cosby (Midlothian, VA)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Patrick Henry Patriots (Ashland, VA) in a Capital bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Armstrong will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 59-32 league win over Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA).
