In Monday's league outing, the Murray County Central Rebels (Slayton, MN) basketball squad beat the host Canby Lancers (Canby, MN), by a margin of 66-55.

The Rebels (11-5) will now prepare for their outing against Hills-Beaver Creek (Hills, MN). The Patriots go into the A Section 3 outing with a 7-10 record. In their last outing, Hills-Beaver Creek overcame Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD), 66-58, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Canby moves to 8-9 on the year. The Lancers travel to Yellow Medicine East (Granite Falls, MN) to meet the Sting in a A Section 3 match on Tuesday, January 31. The Sting enter the match with a record of 5-8. Yellow Medicine East lost 72-36 in their recent non-league match against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (Grove City, MN)
