The Danville Vikings basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting Rantoul Eagles to 56 in the Vikings non-league victory on Monday.
The Vikings now sport a 8-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Normal Community for a Big Twelve contest on Friday, February 3. Danville will battle a Ironmen team coming off a 65-49 non-league win over Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Ironmen record now stands at 14-12.
The Eagles (7-17) will now prepare for their contest against Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Sages come into the Illini Prairie contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Monticello dropped by St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 66-53, in a league contest.
