The Middlesboro Yellowjackets basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Knox Central Panthers to 53 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Monday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lynn Camp for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. Middlesboro will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 81-72 league loss to Pineville (Pineville, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-14.
The Panthers (3-20) will now prepare for their contest against Corbin (Corbin, KY). The Redhounds enter the non-league contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Corbin ran past Clay County (Manchester, KY), 106-76, in a non-league contest.
