Kansas High School Basketball - Atchison County can't hold off Doniphan West

The Atchison County Tigers basketball team (Effingham, KS), was nudged 56-50 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Doniphan West Mustangs (Highland, KS)

The Mustangs now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Axtell for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 31. Doniphan West will battle a Eagles team coming off a 58-23 non-league loss to Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] (Wathena, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 4-9.

The Tigers (13-1) will now prepare for their battle against Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy (Atchison, KS). The Ravens come into the battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy was nudged by Troy (Troy, KS), 48-31, in a non-league battle.
