Athens Bluejays (Athens, WI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Stanley-Boyd Orioles (Stanley, WI), 69-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Athens upgrades its record to 18-2 on the season. The Bluejays host Assumption (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 2. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 15-1.
Next up, the Orioles play the Osseo-Fairchild Thunder (Osseo, WI) in a Cloverbelt - West bout, on Thursday, February 2. Stanley-Boyd will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Thunder go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 57-48 non-league win over Tomah (Tomah, WI).
