Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Biggsville West Central Heat (Biggsville, IL), 47-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Wethersfield upgrades its record to 16-11 on the season. The Flying Geese host Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL) to play the Red Storm in a Lincoln Trail bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Red Storm go into the bout with a record of 9-16. Monmouth United lost 57-24 in their recent league bout against Annawan (Annawan, IL)

Next up, the Heat play the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans (Bushnell, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Biggsville West Central will attempt to upgrade on its 14-11 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 5-21 record after their 67-32 non-league loss to Lewistown (Lewistown, IL).
