In Monday's non-league outing, the Greenup County Musketeers (Greenup, KY) basketball squad felled the host West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY), by a margin of 55-36.

The Musketeers (9-8) will now prepare for their outing against Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY). The Lions enter the District 63 match with a 15-8 record. In their last match, Lewis County overcame Raceland (Raceland, KY), 66-35, in a league match.

With the defeat, West Carter moves to 3-17 on the year. The Comets host East Carter (Grayson, KY) to meet the Raiders in a District 62 match on Thursday, February 2. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 5-12. East Carter won 36-10 in their recent non-league match against Fairview (Ashland, KY)
