In Monday's non-league match, the host Harlan Cyclones basketball team scored a tight 43-38 triumph over the Winterset Huskies.
In their next game, the Cyclones face the Kuemper Knights (Carroll, IA) in a Hawkeye Ten battle, on Tuesday, January 31. Harlan will attempt to improve on its 10-6 season record. The Knights come into the battle with a 9-9 record after their 75-43 league loss to Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA).
The Huskies (11-7) will now prepare for their battle against North Polk (Alleman, IA). The Comets come into the Raccoon River battle with a 14-1 record.
