Iowa High School Basketball - Northwest Webster ripped by Newell-Fonda

The Newell-Fonda Mustangs basketball team scored 85 points and held the visiting Northwest Webster Cougars to 28 in the Mustangs league triumph on Monday.
The Mustangs now sport a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cherokee Washington for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 2. Newell-Fonda will battle a Braves team coming off a 52-51 league loss to Spencer (Spencer, IA). The Braves record now stands at 9-7.
The Cougars (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against West Bend-Mallard (West Bend, IA). The Wolverines enter the Twin Lakes contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, West Bend-Mallard was routed by Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA), 69-47, in a non-league contest.
