Illinois High School Basketball - Plainfield East can't hold off St. Charles North

The St. Charles North North Stars basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Plainfield East Bengals to 64 in the North Stars non-league triumph on Monday.
The North Stars now sport a 21-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hinsdale Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. St. Charles North will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 49-31 league loss to York (Elmhurst, IL). The Red Devils record now stands at 8-17.
The Bengals (19-5) will now prepare for their contest against Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL). The Wildcats enter the SouthWest Prairie - East contest with a 7-16 record. In their last contest, Plainfield Central was nudged by Joliet West (Joliet, IL), 65-35, in a league contest.
