The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL), 53-23 in Monday's league test.
The Spartans (13-13) will now prepare for their test against Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL). The Rockets go into the Illini Prairie test with a 17-10 record. In their last test, Tolono Unity walloped Olympia (Stanford, IL), 36-33, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 3-15 record. They play next when they host Pontiac for a Illini Prairie test on Thursday, February 2. Rantoul will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 41-31 league win over Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Indians record now stands at 9-15.
