Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Wootton Patriots (Rockville, MD) and the visiting Wheaton Knights (Silver Spring, MD), saw Wootton's basketball squad wallop Wheaton by a count of 89-22.

With the victory, Wootton upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg, MD) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 3. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 12-5.

Next up, the Knights play the Northwood Gladiators (Silver Spring, MD) in a Montgomery County - 4A North challenge, on Wednesday, February 1. Wheaton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 58-13 non-league loss to Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Bethesda, MD).
