Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Brunswick Pirates (Brunswick, GA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Pirates confront the Jeff Davis Yellowjackets (Hazlehurst, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Appling County will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Long County (Ludowici, GA).
The Pirates now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakeside for a 6A Region 2 challenge on Friday, February 10.
