In Monday's league battle, the visiting Cortez Colts soccer squad scored a tight 7-3 victory over the Apache Junction Prospectors.

With the victory, Cortez moves its record to 4-6 on the year. The Colts host Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ) to confront the Dons in a 4A Black Canyon bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Dons enter the bout with a record of 1-10. Coronado lost 4-0 in their recent league bout against Dysart (El Mirage, AZ)

In their next game, the Prospectors confront the Tempe Buffaloes (Tempe, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Apache Junction will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Buffaloes enter the bout with a 8-3 record after their 7-0 league win over Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ).
