Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Arvin Bears (Arvin, CA), 1-0 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Strathmore upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season.

Next up, the Bears play the Golden Valley Bulldogs (Bakersfield, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Arvin will attempt to upgrade on its 5-18 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 1-0 league win over Arvin (Arvin, CA).
