Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA), 54-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Giles upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Spartans travel to Auburn (Riner, VA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Auburn won 52-32 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA)

Next up, the Rockets clash with the Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Craig County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record.
