The Lumberton Pirates basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Jack Britt Buccaneers to 46 in the Pirates league triumph on Monday.
The Pirates now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gray's Creek for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. Lumberton will battle a Bears team coming off a 60-56 non-league win over Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC). The Bears record now stands at 6-7.
The Buccaneers (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 12-1 record. In their last contest, Seventy-First ran past Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC), 69-57, in a non-league contest.
