Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT), 71-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Ansonia upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Chargers host St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT) to clash with the Falcons in a Naugatuck Valley bout on Thursday, February 1. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 8-4.

Next up, the Greyhounds clash with the Derby Red Raiders (Derby, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley bout, on Friday, February 2. Naugatuck will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record.
