The Smithfield Sentinels basketball team (Esmond, RI), was routed 62-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Bishop Hendricken Hawks (Warwick, RI)

The Hawks now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Pleasant for a Division 1 battle on Thursday, February 1. Bishop Hendricken will battle a Kilties team coming off a 57-44 league loss to Cumberland (Cumberland, RI). The Kilties record now stands at 6-9.

The Sentinels (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against Cumberland (Cumberland, RI). The Clippers come into the Division 1 battle with a 9-6 record. In their last battle, Cumberland trounced Mt. Pleasant (Providence, RI), 57-44, in a league battle.
