Glenbrook North Spartans (Northbrook, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL), 68-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Glenbrook North upgrades its record to 21-4 on the season. The Spartans host Maine South (Park Ridge, IL) to clash with the Hawks in a Central Suburban - South bout on Friday, February 2. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 10-14. Maine South won 46-45 in their recent non-league bout against Maine East (Park Ridge, IL)

Next up, the Corsairs clash with the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners (LaGrange Park, IL) in a East Suburban Catholic bout, on Friday, February 2. Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 9-17 season record. The Roadrunners go into the bout with a 8-15 record after their 63-51 league loss to Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL).
