Thrive Academy Bulldogs (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Central Private Redhawks (Baker, LA), 60-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Thrive Academy upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA) to play the Knights in a 1A District 9 bout on Thursday, February 1. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 5-14. Slaughter Community Charter lost 52-39 in their recent non-league bout against East Feliciana (Jackson, LA)

Next up, the Redhawks play the Southern Lab Kittens (Baton Rouge, LA) in a 1A District 9 bout, on Thursday, February 1. Central Private will attempt to upgrade on its 8-15 season record. The Kittens go into the bout with a 17-10 record after their 76-63 non-league loss to Episcopal (Baton Rouge, LA).
