Nebraska High School Basketball - Southern Valley knocked off by Chase County

January 30, 2024: Oxford, NE 68967

The Chase County Longhorns basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Southern Valley Eagles to 52 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Longhorns now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Patrick's for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Chase County will battle a Irish team coming off a 53-39 non-league win over Kimball (Kimball, NE). The Irish record now stands at 12-3.

The Eagles (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Alma (Alma, NE). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 15-3 record. In their last contest, Alma was defeated by Maywood/Hayes Center (Maywood, NE), 40-34, in a non-league contest.
