Southeast Lancers (Cherokee, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Chetopa Hornets (Chetopa, KS), 2-0 in a league bout.

With the win, Southeast upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Lancers travel to Crest (Colony, KS) to play the Lancers in a Three Rivers bout on Friday, February 2. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Crest won 60-40 in their recent non-league bout against Marmaton Valley (Moran, KS)

Next up, the Hornets play the Pleasanton Blu-Jays (Pleasanton, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Chetopa will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Blu-Jays go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 56-44 non-league win over Jayhawk Linn (Mound City, KS).
