Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL), 58-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chicago Mt. Carmel upgrades its record to 24-3 on the campaign. The Caravan travel to Wheaton-Warrenville South (Wheaton, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Sunday, February 4. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 13-13. Wheaton-Warrenville South lost 45-39 in their recent league bout against Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL)

Next up, the Spartans play the Yorkville Foxes (Yorkville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. St. Francis will attempt to upgrade on its 14-10 season record. The Foxes come into the bout with a 15-9 record after their 68-38 league win over Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL).
