Taft Eagles (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Englewood Stem Panthers (Chicago, IL), 73-63 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Taft upgrades its record to 11-14 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Whitney Young (Chicago, IL) to play the Dolphins in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Dolphins come into the bout with a record of 14-12. Whitney Young won 88-34 in their recent non-league bout against Von Steuben (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Panthers play the Perspectives-IIT/Joslin Wolves (Chicago, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Englewood Stem will attempt to upgrade on its 7-17 season record.
