New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Genesee Wolves (Genesee, MI), 54-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Lothrop upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Hornets travel to Byron (Byron, MI) to clash with the Eagles in a Mid-Michigan bout on Friday, February 2. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-12. Byron lost 79-55 in their recent non-league bout against Birch Run (Birch Run, MI)

Next up, the Wolves clash with the Deckerville Eagles (Deckerville, MI) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Genesee will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 52-27 league win over Mayville (Mayville, MI).
