Hackleburg Panthers (Hackleburg, AL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Phil Campbell Bobcats (Phil Campbell, AL), 54-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hackleburg upgrades its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Lynn (Lynn, AL) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 13-6. Lynn won 48-46 in their recent non-league bout against Curry (Jasper, AL)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Winston County Yellowjackets (Double Springs, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Phil Campbell will attempt to upgrade on its 8-17 season record.
